garden design

We will work with you to help create a garden that forms an outdoor extension to your property, rather than a place you may perhaps rather avoid. Whether you have a small courtyard, a town house, or a larger country garden, we will help create a beautiful outdoor space that draws you out of your house and into the garden and sits in harmony within the wider landscape.

Clients usually know what they want in their garden – perhaps a lawn, planting, space for a shed or garden room – but they often don’t know how to bring all the elements together to create a garden that works both aesthetically and practically.

Focused on clean strong lines through the use of hard landscaping materials, softened with plants to provide seasonal interest, cover and wildlife benefit, we will work with you to design a garden that meets your aspirations and adds interest and beauty to your property.

Garden Design Plan

  • carry out a detailed site analysis so that we have a good understanding of the size, aspect, topography, surrounding environment of your garden and the different elements you would like to include in the new garden design
  • create a conceptual design plan which we will discuss with you and revise if necessary to ensure it meets your needs
  • creation of final hand-drawn garden design and materials specification

The cost of the design process for a small garden start at £1200 and increase with the size and complexity of the garden.

In addition to the garden design we are happy to seek quotes from three landscape contractors and source and plant gardens using stock from local nurseries.

Garden Consultation

If you do not want a full garden re-design, but simply need some sound advice to help you take steps to enhance your garden, then a garden consultation may be the best option for you. A garden consultation will involve:

  • Completion of a questionnaire so that we can better understand how you feel about your current garden and the overall look you are trying to achieve
  • A 2 hour visit to discuss your responses to the questionnaire, and to study your garden in more detail to gain an in-depth overview of the current garden, the good bits and the bad and what needs to transform it into a garden you want spend time in
  • Provision of a short written report detailing the practical steps that could be taken to create your future garden. Practical steps may include repositioning different elements such as seating areas and garden buildings to achieve better use of the space or creating planting areas and ponds to divert the eye and provide wildlife interest.

The cost of a garden consultation is £400.
